The short version
- OSTVault is free to browse. An account lets you rate, save and follow soundtracks.
- Premium is $5 a month and renews every month until you cancel. Cancel any time from Upgrade and you keep Premium until the end of the month you’ve paid for.
- Payments aren’t refunded, including partial months, except where the law requires it.
- Be decent: no harassment, spam, fake ratings or attempts to break the site.
- The music, artwork and album information belong to their owners. OSTVault is a catalog and doesn’t host or stream music.
These terms are an agreement between you and OSTVault (“we”, “us”) for using ostvault.com. By using the site or creating an account, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information.
1. Using OSTVault
You need to be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you’re under the age of adulthood where you live, you need a parent or guardian’s permission.
2. Your account
- Use an email address you can access. It’s how you sign in and how we reach you about your account.
- Keep your password to yourself. You’re responsible for what happens on your account.
- Your username is public. Don’t pick one that pretends to be someone else or is offensive. We may change or remove usernames that break these terms.
3. Premium and billing
Premium isn’t open for subscriptions yet. When it is, this section applies to it.
What you get
Free accounts can make up to 3 lists and save up to 20 favorites. Premium removes those limits and supports the site. The current price and features are shown on the Upgrade page and at checkout before you pay.
Payment and renewal
Premium costs $5 a month. Payments are handled by Stripe: you’re charged when you subscribe and then automatically every month on the same date, until you cancel. Stripe’s checkout and billing pages have their own terms.
Cancelling
Cancel any time with Manage subscription on the Upgrade page, which opens Stripe’s billing page. You won’t be charged again, and Premium stays active until the end of the month you’ve already paid for. When Premium ends, everything you’ve saved stays; you just can’t add lists or favorites beyond the Free limits.
Refunds
Payments are non-refundable, and we don’t refund partial months. This doesn’t affect any refund rights the law in your country gives you. If you think you were charged by mistake, email us and we’ll look into it.
Failed payments and price changes
If a monthly payment fails and isn’t fixed, Premium ends. If we ever change the price, we’ll tell you before the new price applies to you, so you can cancel first if you don’t want to continue.
4. What you post
Your ratings, favorites, followed composers and username are shown publicly, as described in the Privacy Policy. They stay yours. By adding them, you let us store and show them on OSTVault, including in album averages, charts and your profile. You can remove them any time.
We may remove content or usernames that break these terms.
5. Rules
When you use OSTVault, don’t:
- Harass, threaten or impersonate anyone.
- Manipulate ratings or popularity, for example with fake accounts or automated views.
- Try to get around plan limits or security, or access other people’s accounts or data.
- Overload or attack the site, or copy its catalog in bulk with automated tools.
- Use OSTVault for anything illegal.
6. Music, artwork and album information
OSTVault is a catalog. Album titles, track lists, cover art, composer biographies and concert listings come from services like Apple Music, MusicBrainz, Wikipedia and Ticketmaster, and belong to their owners. We don’t host or stream music. Links to Apple Music, Spotify and ticket sellers take you to their sites, where their terms apply.
This information can be incomplete or out of date, so check concert details with the ticket seller before you buy. If you own something shown here and want it corrected or removed, email us and we’ll review it promptly.
The OSTVault name, logo and site design are ours.
7. Closing an account
You can stop using OSTVault at any time, and email us to delete your account and everything tied to it. If you’re on Premium, we’ll cancel the subscription too. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms. If we ever shut OSTVault down, we’ll cancel all subscriptions so no one is charged again.
8. Changes to the site
We’re always working on OSTVault, so features may be added, changed or removed. We try to keep the site running smoothly, but it may sometimes be unavailable.
9. No guarantees
OSTVault is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we don’t promise that it will always be available or error-free, or that its information is complete and accurate.
10. Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t responsible for indirect or unexpected losses from using OSTVault or the sites it links to. Our total responsibility for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
11. Changes to these terms
When we update these terms, we’ll change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll also note it on the site before it takes effect. Continuing to use OSTVault after that means you accept the new terms.
